Bulldogs Start New Year With a Win

The Brownsburg boys basketball program travelled to Frankfort for their first contest of 2014.  For the 5th time in 8 contests the Varsity Bulldogs held an opponent under 50 points on their way to a 73-41 victory.  While the defense was solid through the evening allowing the Dogs to start off with a 18-5 first quarter advantage, hot shooting push the team to their highest scoring output of the season.  Your Bulldogs were 19-28 from 2point range, 6-11 from 3 point range and an outstanding 17-19 from the foul line.  Trevor Lucas paced the Dogs with 6 rebounds, Darrian Ringo chipped in 3 steals and KJ Walton lead the team with 4 assists.  Walton (25 pts),  Ringo (18 pts) and Lucas (10 pts) all reach double figure points for your Bulldogs.  Nine different players notched the scoring column as the Dogs opened the new year with its 7th win of the season.  The Bulldogs will be back in action this week competing for the Hendricks County basketball championship.  Games will be Thursday and Saturday.  GO DOGS!!!
