Girls XC Runs at HCC Meet
The Girls Cross Country team traveled to Noblesville Saturday and, despite several very strong performances, the team couldn't quite hang with the competition and came in 7th place. Freshman Brooke Dixon had a great day as she finished as a member of the All-Conference team by placing 12th overall in a time of 19:21. Cora Minkis improved her best time by over 50 seconds as she put in a nice performance as the teams 2nd runner overall with a time of 20:03. Grace Esterline also had a great day and continues to show amazing improvement this season as she ran her fastest time in her 4 year career at 20:04! The team begins its post-season schedule with the Sectional meet this Saturday at South Putnam.
The JV Girls also ran a nice race with several girls achieving career best times including Campbell Adelsperger (25:32), Abby Aldridge (24:33), Katelynn Austin (29:45), Anna Boone (21:38), Caroline Johnson (23:57), Moni Krasteva (25:26), Sara Lents (24:34), Delaney Patterson (28:40), and Morgan Spears (22:07)! This was also the final race for a handful of a great group of Seniors who have put in an incredible amount of time and effort over the last several years. A huge thank you goes out to this group including Brianna Channon, Rachel Graham, Caroline Johnson, Mysti Lebeter, and Laura Sanders. Great job by these girls on a fantastic season!
