Hendricks County Champions!

The Girls Cross Country team traveled to Danville on Tuesday afternoon and returned as the 2016 Hendricks County Champions! In what started as a tight race, the Bulldogs, battling the hot temperatures and solid competition, continued to move their pack to the front, eventually finishing with all 7 runners among the top 12 places overall! Leading the way with a fantastic race Freshman Lauren Rinehart was very impressive, hanging tight with the leader and finishing in 2nd place. Brooke Dixon ran a gutsy race, passing runners and picking up valuable points over the last mile as she sprinted to a finish of 3rd place. Gabby Bische was not far behind in 6th place, with Carly Altier and Emily Truax rounding out the top 5 with great races of their own in 8th and 9th places. Senior Grace Esterline finished her final County race by rounding out the All-County Team and finishing in 10th place. Emma Cougill also made a big contribution to the score by pushing other runners back and finishing in 12th. Congratulations to these girls on a great accomplishment! Keep up the good work!

Not to be outdone the JV squad put in an amazing performance of their own. They impressively had 5 of the top 6 finishers overall in the race, nearly making it a perfect score! Senior Olivia Zoog got out fast and never let up a she lead the way for the Bulldogs and finished in 1st place! Alli Ray, Laura Sanders, Anna Boone, and Sarah Pitts rounded out the scoring with great races. Also putting in solid performances and making big improvements this week were Caroline Johnson, Hannah Guy, Moni Krasteva, and Mysti Lebeter! Congratulations to these girls and all of their teammates on a dominant performance in a big meet!
