LeClerc Finishes Strong in 1st Season
After capturing their first Sectional championship since 1990 on Saturday, the Bulldog Girls Swimming & Diving Team opened State competition on Tuesday, with freshman Danielle LeClerc participating in the IHSAA Diving Regional at Plainfield.
With a strong third place showing at Sectionals in just her first year of competitive diving, LeClerc finished a solid 15th at the Regional Tuesday night, ending a successful season.
"Danielle had an incredible showing at Regionals," Bulldog Diving Coach Diana Windler said. "As a first year diver, she showed grace and determination. It has been wonderful to watch her grow and develop as a diver this year."
The Bulldogs will continue State competition on Friday, February 14 at the preliminary round of the IHSAA State Finals. Seniors Grace Fulwider and Tia Scoggan, junior Kierra Watson, sophomore Madison Kehr and freshman AJ Moll will compete in five events beginning at 6 p.m. at the IUPUI Natatorium.
