Girls Track Wraps Up Season With Strong Showing At State Finals

With the thermometer reading 96 degrees, the Lady Bulldogs 4x800 relay team of Kirsten Gaerke, Laura Bess, Sydney Lesko, and Maddie Webster battled the intensity of the heat to bring home 3rd place honors in a time of 9:23.52!  The 20th seeded 4x400 relay team of Rio James, Veronica Goduto, Haley Johnson, and Gaerke also posted a season best time of 401.97 to take 17th place.

Congratulations to Sibong Ncube who made her first state appearance in the 100 meter high hurdles as well as Laura Bess who finished in the top 15 in the 1600 meters.  Finally, a big thank you to seniors Kirsten Gaerke (4 time state qualifier), Jenny Gleissner, Rio James, Haley Johnson, and Maddie Webster for your contributions to our program!  The entire Brownsburg athletic family wishes you the best of luck in your future endeavours!
