Girls Track Has An Excellent Showing at West Lafayette Relays

Saturday a small group of the girls track team traveled to the West Lafayette Relays and did very well! The 4x1600 meter relay team of Veronica Goduto, Maddie Webster, Sydeny Lesko, and Laura Bess blistered the track and took first place on the day in a time of 21:43!  The group also came back and took second place in the 4x800 relay in a season's best time of 9:54!  Others who competed well on the day were Ryne Carr, sixth in the discus with a season's best throw of 103 feet, Katie Reinhart ninth in the discuss, also with a season's best throw of 96 feet.  Caitlin Dressler took second in the high jump and Sara Tate took sixth, both with jumps of 4'10"!  The 4x200 relay team of Carli Hoover, Brandi Neal, Florence Akinribade, and Megan Cole finished just one spot out of a ribbon in 1:54!
