Girls Track Team Has a Strong Showing

The Lady Bulldogs track team racked up 116 points and ran past the competition last night to remain undefeated!  Once again a strong 4x800 relay team of Veronica Goduto, Rio James, Jenny Gleissner and Laura Bess got the evening started off on the right foot by winning the relay in a time of 10:25!  Other event winners were Sibong Ncube in the 100 hurdles in 16.9, Kirsten Gaerke in the 100 meters in 13.1, Maddie Webster in the 1600 meters in 5:19, Gaerke again in the 400 meters in 61, Bess in the 800 meters in 2:31, Megan Cole in the 200 meters in 27.9, Katie Glaze in the shot put with a throw of 31'11", Elissa Hall in the pole vault, Kerry Devney in the 300 hurdles in 52.3, Ncube in the high jump at 5 feet, Devney in the long jump at 14'2", the 4x100 relay team of Morgan Miller, Florence Akinribade, Cole, and Ncube in 53 flat, and the 4x400 relay team of James, Goduto, Haley Johnson, and Gaerke in 4:20! Others who added points on the night were Sara Tate, Sydney Lesko, KJ Gaerke, Alyse Mitchener, Jaime Wieder, Rachel Smith, Ryne Carr, Katie Reinhart, Shay Roberson, Caitlin Dressler, Melissa Duncan, and Brooke Bronger!
