Bulldogs Take on Shamrocks in Girls Track

Although leading 61-45 going into the last three events, lightning and hail were the eventual victors last night as the Lady Bulldog track team opened their outdoor season at Westfield.  Event winners on the night were; Stephanie Mavunga in the shot put with a throw of 31'10", Sibong Ncube in the 100 hurdles in 17.4, Megan Cole in the 100 meters in 13.5, Sydney Lesko in the 1600 meters in 5:37.9, Kirsten Gaerke in the 400 meters in 60.68, Maddie Webster in the 800 meters in 2:29, Kerry Deveny in the 300 meter hurdles in 52, and the 4x800 meter relay team of Veronica Goduto, KJ Gaerke, Jenny Gleissner, and Webster in 10:19.

Others who contributed points on the night were; Florence Akinribade in the 100 (third place), Jolori Shafer in the 300 hurdles (second place), Ncube and Sara Tate in the high jump (second and third), Shay Roberson and Katie Glaze in the shot put (second and third), Rio James in the 400 (second place), Kerry Devney in the long jump (third), and Ryne Carr and Katie Reinhart in the discus (second and third).
