Boys:

Congratulations to the Hendricks County boys' track and field champions for 2011. The Bulldogs held off a tough Avon squad for a narrow four-point victory, 156 to 152, giving the boys their second consecutive county championship. Leading the Dog attack was double winner Kyle Steinbaker, not only claiming titles in the 110 high hurdles and the 300 intermediate hurdles, but smashing his own school record in the 300s by almost one full second. Also claiming individual county titles were Daniel Purdy in the 800 m run, Kurt Darling in the pole vault, Todd Nibbs in the high jump, and Wyatt Rondot in the 1600 m run. All three Brownsburg relay teams claimed runner-up honors as did Jeremy Shupperd in the high hurdles, Matt Phillips in the 400 m dash, and Ben Hendricks in the 3200 m run. Strong third-place finishes were earned by Taylor Hemmert in the long jump, Wyatt Rondot in the 3200 m run, and Jeremy Shupperd in the high jump.
