Bulldogs Crush The Pioneers

The Lady Bulldogs track team continued their winning ways last evening defeating the Pioneers of Mooresville High School 107 to 25. The 4x800 team of KJ Gaerke, Jenny Gleissner, Morgan Weller, and Rio James took first place to get things moving on the night with a time of 10:48.  Megan Cole won the 100 and 200 meters in 13.59 and 27.8!  Caitlin Dressler captured the high jump at 5 feet, Shay Roberson the shot put at 30'7", and Elissa Hall the pole vault at 8'6"!  Rachel Smith won the 1600 in 5:53, James the 800 in 2:42, and KJ Gaerke the 3200 in 12:38.  Kirsten Gaerke won the 400 in 61 and anchored the winning 4x400 team of James, Gleissner, and Haley Johnson in 4:20.  The 4x100 relay team of Florence Akinribade, Morgan Miller, Sibong Ncube, and Cole also brought home first place honors in 52.75.  Kerry Devney topped the night of first place finishes with a victory in the 300 meter hurdles in a season best time of 51.5! Other who placed well on the night were Sara Tate, Jamie Wieder, Alyse Mitchener, Carli Hoover, Ryne Carr, Katie Reinhart, and Makaila Bertram.
