The Girls Cross Country team took part in the HCC meet Saturday and came away with a very respectable 3rd place finish. With 4 top 10 teams running in the race, the team ran incredible times, with 22 of them reaching all new career bests and the top 3 Brownsburg finishers all running faster than the old school record! Leading the way was freshman Abby Lynch finishing in 2nd place overall by less than 1 second with a time of 17:46, besting her previous school record by over 20 seconds. Brooke Dixon became the 3rd runner on the day to finish as an all-conference runner, finishing in  14th place with a new PR time of 18:44. Junior Gabby Bische was the #4 scorer for the team with a new PR of 19:06, followed by Emma Cougill also smashing her old PR with a time of 19:15. Also running career best times were Ali Ray (19:38), Cora Minkis (19:53), Anna Boone (21:04), and Morgan Spears (21:32).

In the JV race Freshman Alivia Gustrowsky ran her best time by over 2 minutes to finish with a time of 20:07 and finish in 3rd place out of 195 total runners. With every JV girls running a great race, most getting their PR, a few notable races were put in by Moni Krasteva, Isabella Witek, Michaela Barrett, Katrina Leming, Hannah Guy, and Renee Carter. Congratulations to these girls and the entire team on a great race.

The team will now enter the post-season as one of the top ranked teams in the State and look to continue to move on to the State meet over the next 4 weeks.
