Bulldogs Race to First Place

The Girls XC team participated in the Hendricks County Meet on Tuesday and put in an excellent performance, winning the championship in very impressive fashion. The team placed all 7 varsity runners in the top 9 spots, making the all-county first team, and finishing with a score of just 17 points. Leading the way for the team was the individual race champion freshman Abby Lynch, completing the race in 18:38. Not only did she win the race, but her time also makes Abby the new Cross Country school record holder! Following close behind were teammates Brooke Dixon (2nd - 19:14), Lauren Rinehart (3rd - 19:19), Emma Cougill (4th - 19:42), Cora Minkis (7th - 20:01), Ali Ray (8th - 20:06), Gabby Bische (9th - 20:09). This is the second straight county championship for the team!

The JV also dominated the competition, winning their race by taking the top 8 places in the race! Leading the way was Senior Emily Truax, who cruised the course for the individual race win, while also finishing in a new personal best time of 19:54! Rounding out the scoring were Sydni Montgomery, Sarah Pitts, Anna Boone, and Irene Amalraj. Also putting in very gutsy performances were Morgan Spears, Faye Jessup, Lauren Gillespie, and Michaela Barrett. This is also the second year in a row the JV has won at the County Meet! Congrats to all of the girls on a great day!
