Bulldogs Place 2nd at Plainfield Relays

The Girls Cross Country team started the season strong as they competed in the Plainfield Relays on Saturday morning. Running in pairs to cover the 6 mile relay, the Bulldogs came away with an impressive 2nd place finish out of 12 teams, just 4 points behind a strong team from Noblesville. With 65 total pairs competing, the team placed 3 in the top 10. Leading the way was the team of Gabby Bische and Abby Lynch in 3rd overall. Following close behind were Brooke Dixon/Emma Cougill in 7th, Lauren Cover-Rinehart/Carly Altier in 10th, Cora Minkis/Sydni Montgomery in 17th, and Emily Truax/Ali Ray in 18th.

In the 2 mile JV race the Bulldogs put in a great performance and earned a 1st place team finish! Junior Anna Boone took the top spot for the team by placing 2nd overall out of 217 runners in a time of 13:34. Just behind to complete the scoring were Morgan Spears in 4th, Irene Amalaraj in 7th, Sarah Pitts in 8th, and Faye Jessup in 11th. Great job to all of the ladies on a big weekend!
