Four Girls' XC Advance to Semi-State

While the Girls Cross Country team came up just one spot shy of advancing as a team Saturday at the Ben Davis Regional, they will still be well represented by four members who ran a great race and made the cut to move on as individuals. Freshman Gabby Bische continued her excellent season as she lead the way for the team in a time of 20:34. Coming in just 1 second after was Faye Jessup, who not only qualified, but ran a career best time by over 1 minute with a time of 20:35. Senior Allison Hering rouned out the trio and was the next to cross the line with her season best time of 20:37. Also making the cut was Sydni Montgomery who, in just her third race of the season, continued to cut her time down with a 21:01. Emily Truax came back after a couple weeks off with an injury and fought through a very gutsy race to finish her great season with a time of 21:26. It was also a big day for Grace Esterline as she showed much improvement and ran the best time of her career at 21:37. Olivia Zoog finished things up for the team with a nice race of her own in 22:00. Great job to all of the girls!
