Girls' XC Advances to Regional

The Girls Cross Country team is on their way to Regional competition after advancing from the Sectional last Saturday at South Putnam. Needing a top 5 team finish the girls placed 4th overall. Once again bad luck forced a runner out mid-race as Brianna Channon suffered an injury after getting off to a great start for the first half of the race. However, her teammates pushed on with some nice performances on a tough course. Senior Allison Hering lead the way for the Bulldogs and finished in 10th place overall with a time of 21:40. Her teammate Gabby Bische was just 6 seconds behind in 11th place. Sydney Montgomery, Faye Jessup, and Grace Esterline and Olivia Zoog scored important points for the team holding off many competitors down the long finishing stretch. The team travels to Ben Davis this Saturday for what promises to be some fast and exciting racing as they try to move on to Semi-State. Best of luck to all of the girls!
