Girls' XC Competes at BD Invite

The Girls Cross Country team finished in the middle of the pack Saturday morning at Ben Davis placing 13th out of 26 schools. However, as the temperatures dropped so did their race times as every girl set a new season or career personal best. In the varsity race Emily Truax lead the way with her best time ever, Allison Hering had her best time in 3 years, and Gabby Bische also had a best ever time as they packed up within 10 seconds of each other in the 20:40s as the first 3 Bulldog finishers. Adding to the nice performances, they were followed close behind by Freshman Faye Jessup, and Juniors Oliva Zoog, and Grace Esterline who all achieved their career best times as well. Laura Sanders rounded out the squad just 5 seconds off her best time with a 22:07.

In the JV race the girls finished a solid 6th out of 17 schools lead by Juniors Brianna Channon and Rachel Graham who both had great finishes to pick up extra spots to finish at 22:36 and 22:59. Morgan Spears, Kierstyn U'Ren, Madison Valentine, and Michaela Barrett also made up many points for the team during the last 800 meters of the race with fantastic finishes of their own. Congratulations to everyone on a nice race and improved times!
