Colin Porath's hat trick leads Boys' Soccer over Ben Davis in Sectional opener

The Brownsburg Boys' Soccer team defeated Ben Davis in the opening round of IHSAA 3A Sectional 9 play on Oct. 5, 8-1 behind superb play from some of their seniors, Colin Porath scored a hat trick in the first half en route to the Bulldogs taking a commanding 5-0 lead at the break.

Roshan Gurung scored a goal and had 3 assists on the match while Grant Porath had two goals. Spencer Porath scored his first career goal, giving all three Porath boys at least one goal on the night while they scored six goals in total. Max Harris also added on a goal in the match.

Coach Brown said, "The team is competing at an elite level and playing hard for eachother. Love the form they are in right now."

In the first match of the doubleheader, Avon defeated Decatur Central to advance to the sectional semifinals, where they will face Brownsbirg. The Orioles defeated the Bulldogs in their regular season match earlier in the season. The sectional match will be on Oct. 7 at 5 p.m. at Ben Davis.
