Boys' Soccer plays to 2-2 draw with No. 1 Noblesville to end regular season

By Drew Sandifer

The Brownsburg Boys' Soccer team played to a 2-2 draw versus 3A No. 1 Noblesville in 3A on Oct. 1. The Millers got the scoring started with a goal from Kyle Marshall but Roshan Gurung answered back with a goal for the Dogs just four minutes later. The teams played through a brief rainstorm, but entered the halftime break still tied 1-1.

After 33 minutes of scoreless second half play, Sam McCain scored his first career varsity goal as the Dogs took a lead over Noblesville, who had only fallen behind to one other team all season long. Noblesville scored a header with 21 seconds left that would all but seal the draw between the two HCC opponents, handing the Millers their first non-winning result of the season.

The JV Bulldogs fell to the JV Millers, 3-1. Wesley N''Gbesso scored for the Dogs.

Coach Brown was thrilled with the team effort Brownsburg played with again tonight and says the team is riding great momentum into Sectional play starting next week. The Dogs will play the host Ben Davis on Oct. 5 at 7 p.m. in the opening round of 3A Sectional 9.
