Boys' Soccer shuts out No. 7 Zionsville in home finale

By Drew Sandifer

The Brownsburg Boys' Soccer team defeated No. 7 Zionsville in its home season finale on Sept. 29, 2-0. Led in scoring by freshman Grant Porath with both goals, Brownsburg's win was highlighted by its team effort in preventing the Eagles from getting good looks at the goal.

Sophomore keeper Colsen Kay had numerous beautiful saves and Bulldod defenders made life difficult for attackers. The win is Brownsburg's first over a ranked opponent this season, and according to Coach Brown, is the first shutout in nearly two years for the team.

The opponents do not get any easier for the Dogs as they are set to face No. 1 Noblesville on the road on Oct. 1 in their regular season finale before turning to Sectional play.
