Bulldogs Beat Undefeated Quakers in County Semi Final

Brownsburg played #4 ranked and undefeated Plainfield Quakers Friday in the semifinal round of the Hendricks County Tournament at Cascade High School. The Quakers jumped out to a quick lead with good offense and held Brownsburg to single digits for the quarter to lead 10-7. Brownsburg settled in nicely to start the second quarter exploding for 24 points taking a 31-25 halftime lead.  Brownsburg picked up the defensive efforts and saw their offense benefit from some easier scoring opportunities.   Carrying that momentum into the third quarter Brownsburg scored 27 points and were in command of the game 58-34 after three quarters.  The Bulldogs earned their way into the championship game with a 72-52 win over the Quakers.  Pierce Thomas lead the team with 20 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists.  Reis Thomas added 19 points and 6 assists, while five other players chipped in at least 5 points.  Cameron Alford 6 points, 4 assists, Gunnar Reffeitt 5 points 3 assists, Jakobi McGowan 5 points, 3 rebounds & 2 assists, Malek Edmonds 5 rebounds, and Richard Lang added 8 points and 5 rebounds. The win was a very collective effort and saw every player contribute to the win over the Quakers
