Bulldogs Start Strong vs North Central

Brownsburg opened the season against North Central Wednesday evening.  The Bulldogs got out to a great start scoring 23 first quarter points to lead 23-14.  The team hit 4 threes by four different players to have very good scoring balance.  Luke Lacey, Jokobi McGowan, Connor Lucas and Richard Lang all gained valuable minutes as the Bulldogs experience some foul trouble and worked through the second quarter maintaining a 38-30 halftime lead.  The Bulldogs came out in the third quarter and established a great tempo on offense and defense as they extended the lead to 59-41.  Playing inspired basketball in front of a great pre-Thanksgiving crowd, the Bulldogs extended their lead 73-46 before both coaches cleared the benches.  It was a great open night win where 10 players contributed to the 83-56 win for Brownsburg. Cameron Alford scored 16 points with 2 assists, Pierce Thomas had a very good evening contributing 15 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists.  Malek Edmonds and Ryan Wiggins displayed some awesome perimeter shooting, each knocking down multiple 3's and  tallying 15 points apiece.  The Bulldogs knocked down eight 3 point shots and shot 72% from the foul line.  The team tallied a decided rebound advantage but did show opening night jitters while committing 18 turnovers.  it was a great opening night victory as the Bulldogs wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving.
