Bulldogs Fal lto Terre Haute North

The Bulldogs concluded their season on a 12-7 loss to Terre Haute North.  The Bulldogs got behind early when the Patriots were able to sneak across a few unearned runs in the 1^st and followed it up with a HR in the second inning.  After two, the Dogs trailed 7-1, but a big, 5-run 3rd inning brought the Dogs back within striking distance.  After 5 innings of play the Bulldogs trailed 9-7 after they were able to sneak across another run in the 4^th, but the Patriots tacked on another HR to widen the gap from 1 to 2.  At the top of the 6^th inning, storms rolled into the area and eventually postponed play, but unfortunately not before the Patriots were able to add another HR to their tally for the day.  The rain clouds finally opened up with the Dogs trailing 12-7.  The game continued on Monday evening and the Bulldogs were able to load the bases in the bottom of the 6^th, but a couple of strikeouts ended the rally.  A few hard hit balls in the 7^th were scooped up by the Patriots and the Bulldogs season came to an end.  The Bulldogs finished the season 15-13 (9-9 HCC).
