Bulldogs Head into Sectional Action

Bulldogs Head into Sectional Action

We ended our regular season and honored our seniors in a great way and on a very high note. We came ready to play from the first whistle against Zionsville. We possessed the ball extremely well. Stringing together three and four passes consistently, and working our way from the back to the attack. Some miscommunication and disorganization led to an early goal by Zionsville. Our senior leaders continued to inspire us to push through and not quit. The score remained 0-1 at halftime.

We came out energized after the break. Our defense and Mackenzie Caron played very well together, communicating and shifting as a unit. Finally, we received a corner kick. Elise Cooke stepped up and played a great ball that Natalie Parks was able to place in the back of the net. We continued to play hard the remainder of the half. Sarah Weller and Taliah Borom did well in the middle of the pitch winning balls and dictating play. The final score was 1-1. Every player contributed, whether on the field or cheering us on the sidelines, to a successful game against the Zionsville Eagles. We are looking forward to playing our first sectional match on Tuesday against Mooresville at Avon.
