Mavericks Down Bulldogs

We traveled to Lafayette on Monday evening to battle the Mavericks on their senior night. The game started out even, as both teams possessed the ball and tested each other physically. Although McCutcheon put one in fairly early, we did not give up. Senior Kamarin Witham had an outstanding game. She worked incredibly hard up top, and was just the spark of energy we needed. Late in the first half, Kamarin was able to put one in the back of the net and tie the game. Unfortunately, that didn't last long. The Mavericks snuck one in just before the halftime break. 

Going in to the second half, we were still energized and ready to score. McCutcheon caught on and soon wore us down, scoring four more times. Before time ran out,  Amanda Dotlich took the keeper on and scored one for the team. The final score was 6-2. We play our final regular season match on Wednesday at home against Zionsville.
