Quakers Blank Bulldogs

Quakers Blank Bulldogs

We played a very physical and aggressive Plainfield, Monday evening. From the start we were ready to possess, moving the ball around our attacking third. Sarah Weller and Mapuana Stephens each contributed greatly in the center of the pitch, adding several shots on goal and proving to be a big defensive force. As the first half was coming to an end, Taliah Borom had a huge opportunity in front of the net and almost gave us our first score. We went in to have time with the score 0-0.

After halftime, the Quakers quickly hit a cross in our box and managed to finish it in the back of our net. We did not put our heads down, we answered with more shots on goal and continued to battle. Jen Barton worked hard to keep the ball in our attacking third, and keep the crosses coming. Our luck ran out, and Plainfield had another opportunity to score on a corner kick. We did not have enough time or gas to win this one. The end result was a 2-0 loss. We hope to see this team again, and have a different result. Our next match is Wednesday, at home, against Center Grove.
