Boys' Basketball Wins on Senior Night
Senior night on Tuesday at the Varsity Fieldhouse was a big success as our Dogs defeated Perry Meridian 58-47 winning their seventh consecutive game and ending the regular season with an 11-9 regular season record. The all-senior starting lineup of Zach Miller, Jimmy Mescall, Martell Pope, Ian Good, and Sir Golden set the tone early with tenacious defense limiting the visiting Falcons to six first quarter points and only eight going into the locker room at the half. Mescall and Golden lead Brownsburg with 11 and 10 points respectively. Senior Gerald Harney came off the bench to add six points including a key drive and hoop to end a 4th quarter rally by Perry. Senior Ian Good added four points and actually played the first four minutes of the game before committing his first foul. Congratulations to all of our seniors for great careers at BHS but more importantly for being such a terrific group of young men. Come out and support your boys varsity team next Wednesday as they travel to Decatur Central to take on the host Hawks in the first round of the sectionals. You don't want to miss this one – it's going to be a battle.
