Boys' Basketball Runner-Up at Hendricks Regional Health County Tournament

Friday night the Varsity Boys Basketball team handily defeated Cascade in the Hendricks County Tournament Semi-final, 75-36. Tenacious defense by Tyler Houston, Ian Good, and Darrian Ringo limited Cascade's top scoring threat to just two field goal attempts and 5 points – 14 off his average. The win was an entire team effort with everyone getting some "PT" and 12 of 14 Dogs scoring. Xavier Ringo and Jimmy Mescall led BHS. Both came off the bench to score 13. Trevor Lucas was also in double figures with 10 points. Kyle Thompson cleaned the glass with 9 rebounds, 7 coming on the offensive end.

Unfortunately Brownsburg did not fare nearly as well in the Final versus Avon Saturday night. Once again the Dogs started slowly, dug an early hole and were down 13 at the end of the first half. Fresh white uniforms, a renewed determination and our half-court trapping defense sparked a BHS comeback cutting the lead to one with less than a minute to go. Unfortunately it was not enough and we dropped another close and exciting one to Avon, losing 38-41. Trevor Lucas led the Purple and White with 14 points. K.J. Walton, Tyler Houston and Gerald Harney each added six points. Walton also had 7 rebounds including a critical offensive board and put back in the closing minutes. Our Boys' next game is this Friday night taking on a very good opponent in HSE at their place. It's going to be a battle that you won't want to miss!
