2014 Sectional Champs!!!
The Lady Bulldogs trampled over the Mooresville Pioneers last night to clinch the first BHS Softball Sectional Championship title in 9 years. Carlie Weaver threw a 5 hit shut out, contributing to the 10-0 victory in 6 complete innings.
Offensively, the Bulldogs continued to be a 'power house' at the plate. Weaver was 2-4 with 2 RBIs. Lucy Paczkowski was 2-3 with 2 doubles, 3 RBIs and 2 runs scored, including the game winning run. Heather Reed was 2-3 with her 5th home run of the Sectional
Tournament. Similar to Reed and Paczkowski, Ally Carver contributed two singles in her 3 attempts. Kelsey Reinhardt was 1-3 with a double, generating a timely RBI in the second inning. Taylor Mendenhall, Lindsey Stahl and Karlie Dickison each contributed one hit.
The Bulldogs finished the game with 11 hits including 4 doubles and a HR. Throughout Sectional play, Brownsburg out scored their opponents 32-2.
Let's hope this offensive hitting epidemic follows the team next week during Regional play! Great job Bulldogs!
