Softball Advances to Sectional Championship
The Varsity Softball team plowed through Plainfield last night in the second round of the Sectional tournament, winning 11-1. Once again, Brownsburg exploded at the plate manufacturing 13 hits as a team.
Carlie Weaver was the Bulldog's winning pitcher, striking out 8 Quakers and allowing only 4 hits. Offensively, Weaver and Lindsey Stahl were both 3-4 at the plate and the duo recorded 5 RBIs between the two of them. Similar to Tuesday's game against TH South, Heather Reed was 'on fire' again offensively. Once again, Reed drove 2 home runs over the centerfield wall, racking up another 4 RBIs. Taylor Mendenhall and Karlie Dickison each added 2 solid hits in their 3 attempts.
The Bulldogs will face Mooresville High School in the Sectional Championship game at Plainfield this Thursday at 6:00.
