Softball Drops a Close One to Westfield

Monday night, the varsity softball team lost a close game to a resilient Westfield team.  The girls had a stellar fourth inning in which they scored five runs on eight hits. But, they could not quite hold off the Shamrocks who rallied in the seventh to win by a run.  All nine Bulldogs earned a hit on the night, including Tori Martin and Chelsea Vaught with two hits apiece, Shayne Zoller with three, and Astrid Koose with two hits and three RBIs.  Kayle Comer did a great job on the mound for the Lady Bulldogs in her varsity debut.  The girls play at home Wednesday against Ben Davis at 5:00.
