It was a strong performance for the boys swim and dive team as they competed in the sectional championship at Ben Davis High School on Saturday afternoon (Feb. 19). This was the ninth straight sectional championship for the Brownsburg boys team after another dominating season in the pool. Brebeuf took second place and Decatur finished in third.

On the diving side it was a Bulldog sweep. Kale Davidson added another first place finish to his resume, Isaac Tweedle took home second place and Maddox Grant capped the meet off with a third place finish. Successful day on the diving board.

For swimming, the boys also had several first place finishes and swimmers who qualified for the state swim meet. In the 200-free Caleb Peschke won and teammate Gavin Coggan took second. Jake Johnson had another dominating performance in the 50-free taking home first place. In the 100-fly Bulldog swimmer JJ Schmidt finished in first place. Teammate Nate Toney finished in third. The 100-free had first and second place finishes from Caleb Peschke and Jamie Cameron. The long 500-free swim was a strong performance and a Bulldog sweep for Gavin Coggan, Parker Huff and Brayden Walters. The 200-free relay with Jacob Johnson, JJ Schmidt, Jamie Cameron and Caleb Peschke was another first place finish. JJ Schmidt also swam an incredible race in the 100-backstroke with a first-place time of 51.79. Another podium sweep in the 100-breast behind Jake Johnson, Michael Williams and Gavin Barnes. In the final relay of the night, the Bulldogs were once again sectional champions and advance to state behind Jamie Cameron, Caleb Peschke, Gavin Barnes, and Brayden Walters

A very impressive performance from the entire boys swim and dive team as they advance to state after winning their ninth straight sectional championship. The Bulldogs will return to action for the state swim meet.
