Brownsburg Athletics introduces new Student Athlete Leadership Team

Brownsburg Athletics is excited to introduce the Student Athlete Leadership Team (SALT), a program developed within the Brownsburg Athletic department to cultivate leadership capabilities in Brownsburg student-athletes. SALT will bring coaches and athletes from Brownsburg's 22 athletic programs together with school administration for bi-monthly meetings. 

In order to continue to foster a championship culture, the Brownsburg Athletic Department will focus on building championship teams by developing championship people through SALT meetings. 

Members of SALT will gather twice a month for a collaborative meeting consisting of breakfast, leadership content, and discussion with the head coach of their team to discuss what it means to be a positive leader on their teams and in today's society. The gatherings are focused on growing the skills necessary to be effective leaders on their teams, in school, and in the Brownsburg community. Athlete discussions with the head coach of their respective teams will look to build leadership capacity and grow together through speakers, lessons, activities, articles, and team discussion.

SALT Leaders are selected team leaders from Brownsburg's 22 athletic programs. Each program will be represented by one athlete per every seven athletes on the team.

SALT met for its inaugural meeting July 28th at Brownsburg High School.
