Boys Swimming & Diving Team advanced 14 to the Sectional Finals

Senior Joel Paquin will enter Saturday's finals as the top seed in the 500 Freestyle, after challenging the school record with his outstanding time of 4:49.82. Paquin is also the fourth seed in the 200 Freestyle.
Fellow senior Joe Perkins (200 & 100 Freestyle) along with sophomore Grant Anspach (200 & 100 Freestyle) and freshmen Joe Ancel (200 IM, 100 Breaststroke) and Diego LaTorre (50 & 100 Freestyle) all qualified for the Championship Final (fastest 8 swimmers in preliminaries) in both of their individual events.
Additional Championship Final swims will come from junior Kasey Cross (100 Butterfly), sophomore Bradley Green (100 Butterfly) and freshman Kyle Baney (100 Breaststroke).
Qualifying for the Consolation Finals (swimmers who place 9th through 16th in preliminaries) were sophomores Jared Krug (100 Backstroke) and Donnie Spencer (50 Freestyle, 100 Butterfly) and freshmen Jimmy Breedlove (100 Backstroke), Hunter Dahlke (100 Breaststroke), Chad Hale (500 Freestyle) and Adam Moll (100 Backstroke).
Dahlke, LaTorre, Perkins and Spencer qualified fourth in the 200 Freestyle Relay; Anspach, Breedlove, Green and Perkins qualified fourth in the 400 Freestyle Relay; and Baney, Cross, Hale and Krug qualified sixth in the 200 Medley Relay.
Junior Grason Horvath will participated in the preliminary diving round at 9 a.m. on Saturday, February 18 while swimming and diving finals begin at 1 p.m.
