Bulldogs Win 10 of 12 Events in Win Over Brebeuf
The Bulldog Boys Swimming & Diving Team wrapped up their regular season with a dominating victory on Tuesday night against the visiting Brebeuf Braves. The Dogs used their depth to win 10 of 12 events - including 1-2 sweeps of five events - and post a 131-49 victory, finishing with a 7-3 dual meet record.
Senior Joel Paquin and freshman Diego LaTorre were undefeated on the night, contributing to four wins each. Paquin picked up individual firsts in the 200 & 500 Freestyle, while LaTorre won the 50 Freestyle and 100 Backstroke. LaTorre and Paquin teamed with senior Joe Perkins and freshman Kyle Baney to win the 400 Freestyle Relay.
Perkins was a double winner on the night, teaming with Baney - also a double winner - and Paquin and sophomore Bradley Green to win the 200 Freestyle Relay. A triple winner on the night, Green won the 100 Butterfly and teamed with LaTorre, junior Kasey Cross and sophomore Donnie Spencer to win the 200 Medley Relay.
Cross and Spencer were double winners on the night as well, each adding an individual first place to their relay victories. Cross won the 200 IM and Spencer won the 100 Breaststroke.
