Cross Country Competes at FlashRock Invite

The Girls' Cross Country team traveled up to Carmel on Saturday morning and placed 3rd out of 27 total teams in their race! Top 10 medal winners for the Bulldogs included Julia Popenfoose in 3rd, Cassidy Brown in 6th, and Sydni Montgomery in 9th out of 210 girls. Freshman Emily Truax and Sophomore Laura Sanders rounded out the top 5 positions while Brianna Channon and Brooke U'Ren were close behind as they battled through the hilly course. In the reserve race Sophomore Rachel Graham had one of her better races of the season to lead the pack. Diana Medlen also ran her best race so far and was close behind just 2 spots back. Olivia Zoog, Alli Kent, Caroline Johnson, Kierstyn U'Ren, and Alex Smock were not far back as all had nice races of their own. Great job to all of the girls and keep working hard!

The boys cross country team placed 27th out of 50 teams in the very competitive flash rock invitational Saturday. Hari Sathyamurthy was the top Bulldog finisher in 19th place. Freshman Noah Gossett ran an outstanding race as the number five runner for the Dogs, with freshmen Christian Hammerley and Coulter Kaneversky close behind. Brandon Britton, coming off an injury, was the top Brownsburg finisher in the JV race.
