Runners Compete at Ben Davis Invite

The boys' cross-country team traveled to the Ben Davis Invitational Saturday morning and, despite missing 3 of its top 7 runners, ran to a strong 6th place finish out of 17 teams! Once again leading the Dog pack was junior Hari Sathyamurthy in sixth place overall with a time of 15 minutes and 50 seconds over the 3.1 mile course.  Elijah Wagner ran to an outstanding 18th place, followed by Marcus Feriek in 27th out of more than 110 finishers.  All 7 of the Bulldogs' varsity squad set personal records on the day!

As the temperatures dropped Saturday morning so did the times of the Girls' Cross Country team as they placed 7thout of 20 teams at the Ben Davis Invitational, highlighted by moving in front of top 20  state ranked conference opponent Fishers. It was all-time personal bests for nearly every girl on the team in both the varsity and reserve race. Her classmate Cassidy Brown was right behind in 16th place also with a new best and impressive time of her own of 19:30. Freshman Sydni Montgomery dropped under the 20 minute mark by posting a solid 19:42 for 21st place. Brooke U'Ren, Emily Truax, Laura Sanders, and Kierstyn U'Ren all flew through the finish not far behind to score valuable points all with best times of their own as well.
