Brownsburg runners finish 10th in Semi-State

The Bulldog cross-country teams took on most of the best squads in the state Saturday by competing in the Carmel semi-state, and they did not disappoint. The girls came home with a strong 10th place finish, only beaten by teams that are all ranked in the top 14 in the state of Indiana. The 20th ranked Bulldog boys rolled to an 8th place finish, bested only by 7 teams who are all ranked in the top 9 in the state.

Laura Bess once again led the Lady Dogs, followed by Sydney Lesko, Julia Popenfoose, Kyra Jo Gaerke, and Cassidy Brown. Julia and KJ earned "Dog of the Meet" honors by running their best times of the season!

The Bulldog boys were led by Ben Hendricks, followed very closely by Justin Hays, Alek Minkis, and Elliot Shaw, all finishing within 10 seconds of each other. Wyatt Rondot ran through illness to post the 5th and final Bulldog scoring spot. Sam Fellers and Jack Reed added strong support in the 6th and 7th spots on the team.
