Cross Country Teams Compete at FlashRock Invite

The girls' cross-country team ran to a 6th place finish out of 20 teams in the prestigious Flashrock Invitational Saturday in Carmel. Laura Bess led the Bulldogs with an eighth place finish, Sydney Lesko had a top 20 finish, and freshman Julia Popenfoose ran a one minute personal record for the purple & white. Cassidy Brown, Hannah Linville, and Jill Zimmerman also turned in strong performances over the 3.1 mile distance.

In the boys' race, Benjamin Hendricks covered that same distance in 16 minutes and 25 seconds, earning a top 20 finish and a personal record time. Wyatt Rondot and Justin Hays were the next two Bulldogs to finish, while Mark Bond, Jack Reed, Sam Fellers, and Seth Webster all ran great races and personal best times. Out of the 23 teams entered, the boys brought home a ninth place finish.
