Tennis Falls to Park Tudor

The Girls' Varsity Tennis Team lost 3-2 in the Regional Final Wednesday evening against Park Tudor.  The Bulldogs spent all they had on all courts and came incredibly close to an upset of the Panthers.  The number two doubles team of Lily House and Kristina Petrovic took care of business quickly with a 6-0, 6-3 score.  Senior Morgan Bettner was magnificent with a 6-3, 6-3 victory.  Number one doubles duo Payton Haygood/Caitlin Preda came roaring back from a first set deficit, took the second set, but lost 5-7 in the third.  Kara Mehringer, at number one singles, also pushed her foe to a third set, losing 4-6.  With it all locked up at 2-2, Hailey Blood put everything she had on the line but lost a tough one 5-7 in the third.  The Bulldogs competed hard and represented BHS very well throughout the entire season.  The girls were runner-up in the HCC, took the sectional title, made it to the regional final, and finished with a 14-3 record.  Thanks once again to the great fan base, and most especially, thanks to the girls for such great tennis!
