Tennis Sweeps Eagles to Advance in Regionals

The Girls' Varsity Tennis Team won the first round of Regional play over #15 Zionsville with a 5-0 score on Tuesday evening.  The team played with a great amount of discipline and poise. Number one singles Kara Mehringer was first off the courts where she utilized a smart game plan to manage her opponent.  Her footwork was a key ingredient in her victory.  Next off were Kristina Petrovic and Lily House at two doubles, followed by number one doubles teammates Caitlin Preda and Payton Haygood.  The doubles teams did an excellent job setting each other up with textbook targets.  Number three singles Hailey Blood worked patiently to claim point #4.  And, Senior Morgan Bettner won the final point to make sure the Bulldogs stayed perfect on the night!  The girls play again tomorrow night against Park Tudor at Avon at 5 p.m.  If rain interferes, the match will be moved to UINDY at 6:30.  Once again, the 'Dogs were blessed with an incredible gallery of fans.  Thank you!
