Girls' Hoops Open Season 2-0

The Varsity Girls' Basketball team got a HUGE win on Saturday night on the road against an always physical Ben Davis team, 57-48.  The game saw several lead changes.  Reilly Olmstead started the Dogs off with two quick 3's and two points from the charity stripe in the first quarter.  The Dogs trailed 17-18 after the first 8 minutes of action.  The Dogs outscored the Giants by 5 in the second quarter, heading into halftime on a last second 3 from Reilly.  The Dogs were up 34-30 at the half.  The Dogs struggled on the offensive end in the third quarter, only scoring 5 points.  The Giants regained the lead entering the final quarter, 39-40.  The Dogs turned up their defense in the fourth and kept a much taller BD team off of the offensive boards.  The Dogs hit 13 of 17 free throws in the fourth quarter to secure the win.
Hannah Linville started the free throw streak in the final minutes of action, hitting both of her foul shots.  Hannah also grabbed 3 rebounds and played great defense.  Reilly scored a game high 20 points, hitting 7 of 8 foul shots.  Aliyah Walker scored 19 points and grabbed 10 rebounds.  Aliyah hit 9 of 10 foul shots.  Aliyah was a perfect 6 for 6 in the final seconds of action.  Zhane Roper added 7 points.  Tyon McKenzie pulled down 4 rebounds.  
The Dogs will face conference foe Noblesville on Friday night at home.  Come out and support your Dogs!
