Kehr breaks school record as Boys' Swimming & Diving wins in regular season finale

By Drew Sandifer

The No. 6 Brownsburg Boys' Swimming & Diving team capped the regular season with their 8th consecutive win in meets against an individual school. The highlight of the night for the team came when senior captain and multi-school record holder Austin Kehr broke the pool and school record in the 100 Free with a time of 45.08.

Other big moments from the meet included senior Lee Grimes winning the 200 Free, junior Brayden Walters breaking through in the 200 IM and Myles Grant finishing a strong regular season with yet another wun in the diving event.

The Dogs finished the season third in the Hoosier Crossroads Conference -- the strongest conference in the state. With a final state ranking of sixth, Coach Gast praised the senior captains for the way they led the team throughout this difficult season. The team takes nearly a month away from competitive action to train for the IHSAA Sectionals that begin on Feb. 18 at the Brownsburg Aquatic Center.
