No. 6 Boys' Swimming & Diving wins 3 HCC titles, finishes 3rd as a team

The No. 6 Brownsburg Boys' Swimming & Diving team picked up three HCC individual titles at the 2021 HCC Swimming & Diving Championships on Jan. 9. The Dogs finished third overall as a team.

Senior Austin Kehr continued his dominating campaign with two individual titles on the day. Kehr's first win came in the 50 Free with a time of 21.34, just edging his closest competitor by less than three-tenths of a second. Then, Kehr continued his successful day with a win in the 100 Free, finishing with a time of 46.51. 

Brownsburg's other HCC Champion on the day was Jake Johnson, who won the conference title for the 100 Breast, posting a time of 58.87. Johnson was the only swimmer in the conference to break the minute-mark in the event.

Brownsburg finished third overall as a team, scoring 360.5 points across the two-day meet. Fishers swept the Women's and Men's Championship with the men scoring 435 points. The Tigers just edged out Zionsville, who finished in second with 432.5 points.

The Dogs return to action on Tuesday, Jan. 12 with a meet in-county at Plainfield. The meet is scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m.
