Aquadogs Win at Crawfordsville

The Dogs won one of their last meets of the regular season over Crawfordsville with a final score of 147-39. 

The evening started with a win for the Dogs in the 200 Medley Relay. The team of sophomore Caleb Peschke, senior Nathanael Schaekel, junior Avarey Newman and sophomore Jacob Johnson won the event with a time of 1:43.70. 

Sophomore Brayden Walters won the 200 Free with a time of 1:54.83, with junior William Hasselbrinck coming in 2nd with a time of 2:00.41 and senior William Scott coming in 3rd with a time of 2:00.49. 

Sophomore Peschke came in 1st in the 200 IM with a time of 2:07.28, with junior Avarey Newman coming in 2nd with a time of 2:11.47.

The Dogs clutched all top 3 spots in the 50 Free. Sophomore Johnson came in 1st with a time of 22.96, senior Schaekel came in 2nd with a time of 23.27 and junior Lee Grimes came in 3rd with a time of 23.90. 

In diving, sophomore Kale Davidson won with a score of 203.00. Freshman Isaac Tweddell took 2nd with a score of 181.85 and junior Camden Anderson took 4th with a score of 136.55. 

In the 100 Fly, the Dogs continued with top 3 winners. Senior Scott took 1st with a time of 1:01.76, senior Simon Koester came in 2nd with a time of 1:02.78 and sophomore Brayden Walters came in 3rd with a time of 1:03.36. Junior Hasselbrinck won the 100 Free with a time of 52.59. 

Junior Lee Grimes won the 500 Free with a time of 5:09.19, freshman Jamie Cameron took 2nd with a time of 5:09.80 and senior Leister Perrin came in 3rd with a time of 5:41.34. 

The team of sophomore Johnson, senior Scott, junior Lee Grimes and junior Austin Kehr won the 200 Free Relay with a time of 1:31.88. 

Sophomore Peschke won the 100 Back with a time of 57.34. Junior Kehr came in 2nd with a time of 57.64 and senior Schaekel came in 3rd with a time of 58.88. 

Sophomore Johnson won the 100 Breast with a time of 1:00.81. Junior Kehr came in 2nd with a time of 1:06.13 and freshman Michael Williams came in 3rd with a time of 1:07.01.

The Dogs won the last event of the night, the 400 Free Relay, with a time of 3:25.25. The relay team included sophomore Peschke, freshman Cameron, junior Hasselbrinck and junior Kehr. 

The Bulldogs will finish up their regular season with a meet at Decatur Central on Thursday, Jan. 30 at 6:00 PM.
