Davidson Advances to IHSAA State Diving Meet

Diver Kale Davidson is joining his swimming teammates at State this Saturday. The sophomore placed 5th in tonights' Diving Regionals out of 20 divers from all over the state. The top 8 divers, listed below, continue on to the State preliminaries.

  4. Landon McMonagle - Lawrence Central - 415.95
  5. Kale Davidson - Brownsburg - 410.30 
  6. Kien Dalton - Greenfield Central - 409.85
  7. Quinton Jones - Connersville - 364.80
  8. Jaden Davis - Warren Central - 341.90 

Junior Myles Grant and freshman Isaac Tweddell didn't move on to State, but still had a good night. Tweddell placed 11th with a score of 317.55 and Grant placed 12th with a score of 308.10. 

According to the IHSAA website, "All diving will take place on Saturday with the top 20 of 32 competitors advancing from the prelims to the semis after five dives each. After three dives each in the semis, the top 16 will advance to the final round for another three dives each."

Tickets are $8 per session or $15 for both days (Friday for swimming preliminaries and Saturday for diving preliminaries, semi and finals and swimming finals).

Davidson will dive with the best in the state on Saturday, Feb. 29 at 9 a.m. at the IU Natatorium at IUPUI.
