Swim/Dive Take on HCC Foe Noblesville

The Bulldog Boys & Girls Swimming & Diving Team wrapped up a busy week on Saturday, traveling to Noblesville for a contest with the Millers – the third meet of the week for the Dogs. The Bulldog boys extended their dual meet winning streak to six in a row with a resounding 101-85 win while a short-handed girls team fought hard, but fell to the deeper Noblesville team 142-41, snapping a five meet winning streak.
The boys had solid performances from the first event to the last and were led by freshman Joe Myhre, a quadruple winner on the day. Myhre teamed with junior Bradley Green and sophomores Joe Ancel and Diego La Torre to win a thrilling 200 Medley Relay in the opening event. Myhre picked up individual wins in the 50 and 100 Freestyle and teamed with Ancel, sophomore Kyle Baney and freshman Vince Partlow for first in the 200 Freestyle Relay.
Baney and Ancel finished first and second in the 200 IM while Green added individual wins in the 100 Butterfly and 100 Backstroke. Critical finishes that earned valuable team points were turned in by junior Grant Anspach and sophomore Chad Hale in the 200 Freestyle, junior Donnie Spencer and sophomore Adam Moll in the 100 Butterfly, junior Jared Krug in the 100 Freestyle and sophomore Jimmy Breedlove in the 500 Freestyle.
The Bulldog diving squad continued their strong season, with valuable points earned by senior Grason Horvath, freshman Logan Hannie and junior Kyle Johnson.
Senior Madeline Ketchem (100 Butterfly) and freshman Piper Lovett (100 Backstroke) led the Bulldog girls with team best second place finishes individually.
Ketchem and Lovett also each contributed to a pair of third place relays. Both girls joined sophomore Kierra Watson and freshman Madison Kehr for third in the 400 Freestyle Relay. Lovett and Kehr teamed with junior Delaney Krug and sophomore Clarice Cross in the 200 Medley Relay while Cross, Kehr, Ketchem and Watson finished third in the 200 Freestyle Relay.
The Bulldog girls finish their dual meet season at 8-3. Both the girls and boys (7-1) will return to action on Saturday, January 26 at the Hoosier Crossroads Conference Junior Varsity Invitational at Zionsville.
