Bulldogs Celebrate Seniors with a Win over Crawfordsville

The Bulldog Swimming & Diving Teams wrapped up their coed home schedule on Tuesday, with easy victories over the Crawfordsville Athenians. The girls and boys extended their dual meet winning streaks to five with 107-74 (girls) and 131-48 (boys) wins on the night.
 
Thursday was Senior Night, marking the final home coed dual meet for eight Bulldog athletes. Thank you to Nathan Brooks, Grason Horvath, Paige Jones, Madeline Ketchem, Meghan Schrad, Katie Thomas, Kristin Verpe and Bridgette Zollner for all of their contributions to their team!
 
The Bulldog girls were led by triple winner Megan Wolf. The sophomore took home top honors in the 200 and 500 Freestyle, and teamed with senior Madeline Ketchem and freshmen Madison Kehr and Shelby Smith for first in the 400 Freestyle Relay.
 
The 200 Medley Relay team of junior Tia Scoggan, sophomores Clarice Cross and Brianna LaPaugh and freshman Avery Chadd opened the night with a win. Junior Delaney Krug won the 200 IM, sophomore Kierra Watson won the 100 Freestyle and the Dogs picked up a 1-2-3 sweep of the 100 Backstroke, courtesy of juniors Grace Fulwider, Chloe Wittig and freshman Avery Chadd.
 
The Bulldog Boys were led by triple winner, senior Nathan Brooks, who had a hand in all three relay victories. Brooks teamed with junior Bradley Green, sophomore Kyle Baney and freshman Joe Myhre to win the 200 Medley Relay; teamed with Myhre and sophomores Jimmy Breedlove and Diego La Torre to win the 200 Freestyle Relay and teamed with juniors Jared Krug and Albert Turk and sophomore Joe Ancel to win the 400 Freestyle Relay.
 
Ancel (100 Freestyle), Baney (100 Butterfly), Breedlove (50 Freestyle) and La Torre (100 Breaststroke) added individual victories on the night. Sophomore Adam Moll won the 200 Freestyle and freshman Vince Partlow won the 200 IM.
 
The Bulldog Swimming & Diving Teams return to competition with a 2 p.m. dual meet on Saturday, January 19 at Noblesville.
