Baseball Goes 2-1 Over Weekend

The boys varsity baseball team finished the weekend 2-1 during Hendricks County Tournament play.  During the Friday night game against rival Avon, the Dogs were victorious by a score of 8-3.  Junior Tyler Houston collected his second win of the season gong 6 innings and sophomore Caleb Sampen finished the game in the 7th.  Offensively, the Dogs were ignited by a 2-run home run by senior Garrett Isch.  In the Saturday morning semi-finals, the Bulldogs gave up 4 touchdowns and lost by the score of 27-14 to Plainfield.  To end the weekend, the Bulldogs beat Cascade by a score of 11-1.  On the mound, junior Ty McCoy threw all 5 innings and the Bulldogs were again ignited by a home run, but this time off the bat of junior Tyler Houston.  The Bulldogs moved to 3-2 on the season and will play HCC opponent Noblesville at home on Monday at 6:00pm.
