Bulldogs Drop Conference Opener to McCutcheon

The varsity baseball team dropped their HCC opener against McCutcheon by the score of 10-1.  The Bulldogs started the game on Wednesday afternoon in rainy conditions and quickly fell behind 7-1 after the Dogs made some uncharacteristic errors in the field.  The game was picked up last night at McCutcheon and finished before the second game was called due to weather.  Junior Ty McCoy picked up his first loss as a Bulldog pitcher. Junior David LeClerc and senior Dalton Carter contributed some quality innings after the disappointing start.  At the plate, the Dogs couldn't get much going either.  Senior Garrett Isch recorded a single in bottom of the 3rd, stole 2B, and scored on a Haden Shipman ground ball.  The Bulldogs drop to 1-1 on the season and 0-1 in the HCC.  Tonight the Bulldogs face rival Avon in the first round of the Hendricks County Tournament.  The Dogs are at Avon and the game will start at 5:30pm.
