Girls Defeat Zionsville
The Varsity Girls Basketball team won their final conference game of the season against Zionsville, 71-55, on Saturday night. The Dogs jumped out quick scoring 25 first quarter points. Reilly Olmstead hit two 3's in the first quarter. The Dogs were up, 25-7 after 8 minutes of action. The Dogs continued to attack the basket in the second quarter, the Dogs entered halftime with a 41-20 advantage. The Eagles fought back in the 3rd quarter, chipping away at the score. The Dogs were up at the end of the third, 56-42. The Dogs finished strong in the fourth quarter, handling the ball under the Eagles' pressure and stepping up to the free throw line knocking down free throws.
Devin Courtney scored a team high 17 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. Reilly Olmstead finished with 15 points, hitting 3 of 5 from behind the 3 point arc. Reilly also had 2 steals and 2 rebounds. Chazney Jones and Aliyah Walker each scored 12 points. Aliyah grabbed 6 boards, blocked 2 shots and dished out 2 assists. Chazney grabbed 7 boards.
